Introduction to the EPEVER MT50 Remote Display
One of the more popular charge controllers we carry at SanTan Solar is the EPEVER MPPT Tracer AN series. These controllers come in a variety of sizes to fit your solar power needs. These mid grade controllers are durable and budget friendly. To make monitoring and battery parameter setup easier, we recommend getting the MT50 Remote Display.
The EPEVER MT50 is a remote display and programming accessory designed for use with EPEVER solar charge controllers. It provides a user-friendly interface for monitoring and configuring various parameters of the solar charge controller. The MT50 remote display is particularly useful for systems where the charge controller is installed in a location that is difficult to access, such as an outdoor setting or in a remote location.
Key Features of the EPEVER MT50 Remote Display Include:
- LCD Display: The remote display features an LCD screen that shows real-time information about the solar system's performance, including battery voltage, solar panel current, load current, and other important data.
- Menu Navigation: The MT50 remote display allows users to navigate through different menus to access and modify settings. This makes it easy to configure the charge controller according to specific system requirements.
- Programming: Users can use the remote display to program various charge controller settings, such as charging parameters, load control settings, and battery type selection.
- Monitoring: The remote display provides continuous monitoring of system status, allowing users to keep track of the performance and health of their solar system.

To use the EPEVER MT50 Remote Display, you generally need to connect it to the charge controller using the provided communication cable. Once connected, you can use the buttons on the MT50 to navigate through the various menus and access different settings and information. The specific functionalities and settings that can be accessed through the MT50 can vary depending on the model of the EPEVER solar charge controller you are using.
Using the MT50:
The EPEVER MT50 Remote Display has six buttons below the display: Esc, Left, Up, Right, Down, and OK. The OK button is used to enter menus and save options, the arrow buttons are used for navigation and changing values and options, and the Esc button is used to go back or exit the menu.
When pressing the OK button, you will first enter the menu. Pressing OK once more, you get the subpages on the chosen menu item, and pressing OK once again, you can change the parameters for that subpage. Pressing Esc takes you the same way backward.
Changing values might require a password. The default password for the EPEVER MT50 is 000000. If you change several settings in the same session, you will not be asked for the password every time, but you will be "logged out" after about 10 minutes. When programming settings such as charging parameters, load control settings, and battery type selections, refer to your battery manufacturer specifications.
